Staging Case Study
If you have a project that is a challenge, we want it! The designers and team at LBLW thrive on innovation and creating staging solutions that have never been seen before.
The Project
The Fair Industry in California is huge, attracting millions who flock to see the local horse races and concerts with equal vigor. This presented a unique challenge for the Los Angeles County Fair whose grandstand needed to service both events daily.
The Challenge
To create a large load bearing stage, light, audio, video system large enough for A list entertainment and capable of Loading in and out in less than an hour.
The Solution
We designed and manufactured a “moving stage” on turf wheels that could be rolled in and out for performances. A holding area was created under the bleachers where we built the entire production system in full. We enlisted tractors to tow the stage pieces 480 yards to the event site allowing the fair to provide both the races and sold out concerts each day.
